On Amazon, not using FBA as a delivery method is equivalent to cutting off one’s own lifeline, and this is not an exaggeration. FBA delivery can improve the weight of the store account, and this alone is enough. In addition, sellers who are familiar with the FBA delivery process know that sending FBA is like a divine help. There is no need to ship orders, because the bad reviews caused by logistics can be “blamed” on Amazon without taking responsibility. However, for sellers who are not familiar with the FBA process, there are many problems, ranging from where to buy FBA label paper and what kind of printer to use, to how to estimate the number of FBA replenishment during the peak season based on store sales.
No matter how big or small the problem is, if there is a mistake in any link, it is likely to affect the performance of the account, thereby causing a series of account problems, and the seller will also need to put more effort to remedy it. Therefore, in order to minimize the difficulties encountered in FBA practice, this article lists some precautions before FBA delivery.
(1) Not all products are suitable for FBA
Not all products are suitable for FBA. On the one hand, it is due to Amazon’s own policies. For example, some flammable and explosive items are not accepted by FBA. This requires sellers to carefully understand Amazon’s relevant regulations at the beginning of product selection. The product selection must comply with Amazon’s platform policies and FBA warehouse entry principles. On the other hand, products that are too large or too heavy may not be suitable. Amazon FBA warehouse products are mainly small and medium-sized products. Because Amazon FBA warehouses charge relatively high fees for large and heavy products. Of course, this is not absolute. If your product is good enough, even if it is large or heavy, it can be shipped by FBA.
(2) Printer and label paper
Regarding the selection of printers, it is recommended to use A4 laser printers or thermal printers, and it is not recommended to use inkjet printers. Because inkjet printers are prone to stains, which may cause the barcode to be blurred. For the selection of label paper, it is recommended to use A4 self-adhesive label paper instead of ordinary A4 paper.
(3) How to print product labels
When the products shipped by FBA enter the warehouse, each product must have a product label (i.e. FNSKU label). When creating an FBA entry plan, the system will generate product labels in the “label the products” step.
The default format of the downloaded product labels is PDF document, with 21 to 44 labels per A4 paper. Sellers can choose the appropriate label according to the size of the product. After the FBA entry plan is successfully created, the seller must label each product.
