1. Combination sets need to have separate ASIN codes
Compared to single products, combination sets combine multiple products into one. This combination also needs an ASIN code that is different from the individual products. So when sellers list combination sets, they will also get new ASIN codes from Amazon.
2. Combination sets need to have separate UPC codes
For products that are sold in combination, sellers need to provide new UPC codes. The UPC code of any product in the combination cannot be used as the UPC code of the combination set.
In addition, the following points should also be noted.
(1) Imitation products cannot be combined.
(2) The same single products cannot be combined into a combination set. For example, if a seller wants to sell six pairs of socks in each order, but the ASIN (UPC) codes of these six pairs of socks are the same, then they cannot be listed as a combination set and can only be listed as a single product. However, if the quantity of the product cannot be set to 6 pairs when listing, the seller can add “pack of 6” in the title to remind the buyer that each order contains 6 pairs of socks.
(3) If the seller’s products have different colors and sizes, they should create variation information instead of treating them as a combination set. Variation products of the same parent cannot be combined with each other.
(4) Once the seller creates a combination set, it is generally not possible to modify it. If you want to add or delete products in the combination, you must create a new UPC code. In fact, it is equivalent to creating a new combination set. For example, there are three products A, B, and C. A and B have been combined into a combination set. The seller wants to put C into the combination. Then the seller needs to provide a new UPC code and create a new combination set.
