For product combination sales, Amazon stipulates that all products involved in combination sales must comply with Amazon’s product listing policy and combination sales policy. If they do not comply with the relevant regulations, the products sold in combination may be deleted by Amazon, and even the account will be affected. Therefore, sellers should pay attention to the following points when selling products in combination.
1. The combination products must be highly complementary
The combined products must be highly complementary
A seller sells a yoga entry kit. The practice yoga mat, yoga bricks (2 pieces), yoga belt and yoga towel in this kit are all things that yoga enthusiasts need when practicing. When they are sold together, they are highly complementary. Buyers who buy this yoga entry kit do not need to buy small products such as yoga bricks, yoga belts and yoga towels separately. It is convenient and can save money. Why not?
2. Media products cannot be sold in combination as the main product
When selling in combination, video games or media products such as books, music, videos, DVDs (BMVD) cannot be combined as the main product, but can be combined as auxiliary products. As shown in Figure 6.24, the yoga kit has a yoga mat as the main product, and DVDs and books about yoga can be used as auxiliary products to create another new combination set, which can then be sold.
3. Classification basis of combination sets
There are multiple products in a combination, and each product may belong to a different category. The seller can determine the classification of the entire combination based on the category of the main product with the highest unit price (highest value) in the combination set.
4. Other matters needing attention
(1) Tools used for packaging (such as gift boxes) are not considered as secondary products of the combination set.
(2) If the seller provides the buyer with an order receipt, the receipt details must be consistent with the actual product sold.
