(1) Check the goods in the shipment.
Amazon will prompt on this page: “Sellers must ensure that the SKU and quantity of the physical goods shipped are exactly the same as those filled in when creating the shipment.” That is, sellers must check the product variety and quantity to ensure that they do not select or send the wrong products.
(2) Select a transportation service.
The transportation methods are divided into two methods: small package delivery (SPD) and less-than-truckload or full-truckload (LTL/FTL).
Small package delivery refers to goods packed in separate boxes, and the delivery boxes are individually labeled for delivery. The following requirements must be met.
① All boxes must be affixed with Amazon Logistics shipment labels and carrier labels.
② The box weight must not exceed 50 pounds, unless it contains a large item weighing more than 50 pounds.
③ The length of any side of the box must not exceed 25 inches.
Less-than-truckload or full-truckload means that the box is fixed on a labeled pallet for transportation. For LTL, the truck may also contain shipments for other destinations. If the shipment meets the requirements for full-year transportation, the shipment will be shipped directly to the fulfillment center. LTL and FTL delivery methods require a delivery appointment. When shipping goods by truck, the following shipment packaging requirements must be followed.
① All boxes on a pallet must have the same shipment number,
② The total shipment weight must be no less than 150 pounds.
③ The weight of a single-packed pallet cannot exceed 1,500 pounds.
④ A 40-inch by 48-inch wooden pallet that can be opened on four sides and meets GMA standards and is Grade B or higher must be used.
⑤ Boxes on the pallet cannot extend more than 1 inch from the pallet.
⑥ Boxes must be secured to the pallet with plastic or stretch film.
⑦ Items weighing more than 100 pounds, longer than 80 inches, or wider than 30 inches must be placed on a single pallet.
⑧If multiple boxes are sold as a set and the total weight exceeds 100 pounds, they must be placed on a single pallet.
⑨Pallets that are confirmed to be stackable can be stacked by the carrier.
For the mode of transport, the default is usually “Small Parcel Express”
Carrier: The default is “DHL EXPRESS (SUA) INC”.
(3) Set the box information.
Here is the number of boxes to set. If the number of products in a batch created by the seller is large and multiple boxes are needed for delivery, fill in the number of boxes in the total number of boxes.
If multiple boxes are shipped together, select “Multiple Boxes”.
If a single box is used for delivery, change “Multiple Boxes” to “All items in one box”.
The boxes mentioned here refer to the number of boxes at the time of delivery. If the seller’s products are special and need to be packed in multiple small boxes, and then these small boxes are put into a large box, then the number of boxes here refers to the number of all large boxes, not the number of small boxes.
How do sellers provide information about the items in the box? There are three options here: “Use Web Form”, “Upload File”, and “Skip Box Information and Charge Manual Handling Fees”.
Use Web Form: Fill in the box information in the corresponding column (recommended).
Upload File: Fill in the packing list and upload it to the seller platform.
Skip Box Information and Charge Manual Handling Fees: Amazon will manually handle the items in the seller’s box. It will calculate the manual handling fee based on the total number of items in the box and the cost of each item.
The size and weight of the box are optional, that is, the seller does not need to fill them in. If you want to fill them in, just enter the weight and size of the box. If the number of boxes is 1, you need to fill in the weight and size of 1 box; if the total number of boxes is 2, fill in the weight and size of 2 boxes truthfully. After filling in the form, the total number of boxes will be displayed.
(4) Print the shipment label.
You need to use self-adhesive stickers to print the outer box label and stick it on the outer box. The label on each box is unique, and all box labels must be printed and affixed.
