Linio’s main product categories include electronics, household goods, fashion, health and beauty products, and children’s and baby products.

(I) Products prohibited from sale on the platform

All products on the Linio platform must be legal, new and genuine, and within the range of products allowed for import in the destination country. Prohibited items include the following categories:

Medical products and equipment (including medicines); plants and animals (including resins); chemicals; contact lenses; consumables (i.e. food and beverages); flammable and explosive items; tobacco products (including cigarettes, matches, lighters, e-cigarettes and accessories); tires; weapons (including simulated toy weapons, paintball guns and knives); untreated wood products; counterfeit (pirated) products; services.

(II) Hot-selling products on the platform

In general, on the Linio platform, consumer electronics account for the largest proportion, and the demand for clothing accessories and household daily necessities is not far behind. The following two categories are the hot-selling categories on the platform:

(1) Consumer electronics is the category with the largest sales volume on the platform, especially mobile phones, such as Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Sony, Huawei, Lenovo, OnePlus, etc. In addition, the sales volume of electronic products such as mobile phone accessories, tablets, cameras, etc. is also relatively large.

(2) Fashion is the second largest category on the platform, and is currently dominated by international brand watches, glasses, clothing, etc. However, after the launch of Chinese OEM products (clothing, shoes, hats, bags, sports equipment), they also occupy a large share due to their strong cost-effectiveness and the advantages of a large number of SKUs.

It is worth mentioning that there are not many sellers in categories such as health and beauty, home furnishings, and maternal and child products (mainly toys) on the Linio platform, and the number of SKUs is also small. If sellers occupy the market early, there will be huge room for growth in the future.

Linio store opening costs

Linio does not charge monthly rent or membership fees, but only sales commissions. After the order is completed, the seller pays Linio a commission. The commission rate ranges from 7% to 15%, depending on the product category.
