Jumia platform launches the latest promotions every week. By participating in the promotions organized by the platform, sellers can get more platform support and attract more customer traffic. There are two ways for sellers to participate in Jumia’s promotions: one is to directly participate in the promotions provided by the platform and apply to join; the other is Mabaya paid advertising promotion service. Both methods can bring greater exposure to the products participating in the promotion, but of course paid advertising is slightly better in terms of effect.
(I) Join the promotions launched by the platform
Step 1: Enter the homepage of the seller center backend, and you will see that there are many existing promotions in the “Promotions” column. The main page of each activity can see the deadline, activity time and price standard (minimum discount, maximum price, etc.) of the activity. Click “Join the Promotion” in the activity to enter the activity page.
Step 2: After entering the activity page, click on the eligible product, enter the price of the promotional product, and then click “Add to Promotion”.
After the seller applies to join the promotion, he needs to wait for the platform to review it. After the review is successful, the products participating in the promotion will be displayed in the activity area for sale.
(II) Participation in Mabaya Paid Advertising Promotion Service
Mabaya is a paid promotion service that is only charged when a user clicks on an ad. Sellers can use this service to bid for keywords for their superior products, thereby obtaining priority ranking rights for their products on the platform.
(1) Seller qualifications for participating in this service: active sellers with a store score of 3.5 or above, and inventory cannot be zero.
(2) Payment method: The advertising service payment method is pre-charge, and the minimum requirement for the first pre-charge of advertising is 100 euros. After the service application is approved, the Jumia platform will directly deduct the pre-charge amount from the “recent bills” in the Account Statements.
Note:
①Only the OK option can apply for paid advertising promotion, and the NO option cannot participate in paid advertising promotion.
②FBJ overseas warehouse accounts do not allow the selection of hot-selling products for paid promotion, because FBJ hot-selling products already have a large amount of traffic, and repeated promotion does not have much advertising effect.
The specific application process is as follows:
Step 1: Enter the seller center backend, open the “Promotions” module, click “Sponsored Products” in the drop-down column, then pull down to the bottom of the page and click “Boost Your Visibility” at the bottom.
Step 2: Click the link in the pop-up page to enter the store’s Mabaya paid promotion system.
Step 3: Select the number of clicks you want to purchase according to the promotion plan. There are three packages for sellers to choose from. It should be noted that the higher the level of the package purchased, the more guaranteed clicks you will get, and the cost of each click will be lower.
Step 4: Select the product you want to advertise.
At this point, a paid promotion campaign is set up. If you want to view the promotion effect of the advertisement, you can directly click “Campaign Status” in the Mabaya system to view it.
