Recently, many Amazon sellers have discovered that their self-shipping rights have been stopped when managing and operating their stores. Generally, sellers mainly encounter two types of self-delivery deactivation problems:

1. Suspension of self-delivery rights for some categories

After a category’s self-delivery is stopped, the seller will receive a email. It can be seen from the email that the reason for the disappearance of rights for certain categories of spontaneous shipments is that the effective tracking rate is less than 95%. In recent months, we have found that a lot of sellers have fallen into this trap. This may be mainly because they don’t know much about Amazon’s new policies.

For self-delivery sellers who ship directly from China to abroad, the effective tracking rate must be above 95%, and the seller needs to track the delivery through the docking between the carrier and Amazon.

2. Stop using all self-shipping permissions

Usually the following situations occur:

The order is less than 1% or more;

Cancel the order The proportion exceeds 2.5%;

The delay rate exceeds 4%.

The reasons for deactivating the permission for self-delivered products are as follows:

1. ODR refers to the order defect rate, which refers to the presence of one or more defects (negative feedback, unavailable products) within 60 days. Denied A-M Guarantee claims, credit card chargebacks) as a percentage of total orders. If the order defect rate is higher than 1%, it may result in the suspension of self-delivery product permissions or even account suspension.

2. Late shipment rate (LSR) refers to the percentage of orders confirmed after the estimated delivery time within 10 or 30 days to the total number of orders. A late delivery rate higher than 4% may result in the suspension of self-delivery permissions.

3. Cancellation rate (CR) refers to the percentage of all orders canceled by the seller within a given 7 days to the total number of orders. A CR exceeding 2.5% may result in the suspension of self-delivered products.

4. Effective tracking rate (VTR) refers to the percentage of all goods with valid tracking codes to the total quantity of goods within a given 30 days. If the effective tracking rate in a certain product category is lower than 95%, the permission to self-deliver products under this category may be stopped.

What actions by the seller may lead to the deactivation of self-delivered product permissions?

1. Failure to provide effective tracking information in a timely manner.

2. Enter special characters that the Amazon system cannot recognize in the tracking information. For example, copy from the carrier’s website. Paste the tracking code and add zero-width space characters, making it unrecognizable.

3. False delivery, unable to continue tracking logistics information

Ocean/non-Amazon cooperative carriers cannot provide physical scanning, nor can they track valid logistics information. (At least one scan must be provided for products worth less than $5, and at least two physical scans, including one or an attempt, must be provided for products worth more than $5).

4. Out of stock. Insufficient inventory prevents shipments or on-time shipments.

The above is the reason why Amazon’s self-shipping permission has been disabled. I hope it will be helpful to you.
