If a product violates the following rules, it will be removed from the shelves.
1) Misleading discounts
Definition: The seller raises the price of the product before the promotion and then sells it at a discount.
For example, the original price of a product is 100 yuan, and the seller raises the price to 120 yuan before the promotion, and sets the discounted price of the product to 110 yuan during the promotion. This is a misleading discount.
The product will be deleted directly and the seller will be penalized.
2. Duplicate listings There are three common types of duplicate listings.
① Listing the same product in different product categories, such as listing product A in both women’s and men’s categories.
② Duplicate listings of the same product with different specifications. For example, product A has three sizes: large, medium and small, and the seller uploads different sizes of product A as a separate product.
③ The same product is listed at different prices, such as the seller lists product A at 10 yuan and 20 yuan respectively.
3) Irrelevant keywords
Use keywords that are not related to the product in the product title or description, such as the seller adds the keyword of the best-selling mobile phone brand in the title of product A in the women’s clothing category.
4) Wrong category
Place the product in the wrong category, such as the seller places women’s clothing A in the mobile phone category.
2. Logistics channels must be set for listing products
To avoid fraud, the Shopee platform will optimize new products. Sellers must set logistics channels when listing products. This function will have the following impacts on sellers.
If the seller does not set any logistics channels when editing/creating products, the seller will not be able to save the product information. For existing products that have not set any logistics channels, they cannot be searched, and buyers will not be able to pay, and the products will be removed from the shelves by the system.

3. Frequently Asked Questions
① What should I do if the product is in the Banned state?
Answer: These products have not been penalized yet. Sellers can delete or modify them before the deadline. If they are overdue, they will be deleted by the system and may be penalized.
②What are the criteria for judging misleading discounts on the Shopee platform?
Answer: If a product has a product discount set while raising its original price over a period of time, this will be regarded as a misleading discount and the product will be removed from the shelves. If the seller does not handle it in time, the store will be penalized.
Any price increase in the period before the promotion is prohibited, even if the seller raises the price and lowers the price during the period. The price change after the discount caused by the discount adjustment is not within the scope of this rule.
