On Facebook, in addition to publishing and sharing posts, you can also create and participate in events. Events are a function that allows friends to interact with each other. For example, if we want to hold a weekend beach cycling event, we can create an event on Facebook and fill in the theme, time and related event content. After creating the event, you can also invite friends to join and discuss it. On Facebook, you can create both offline and online events, such as creating an online discussion event for movie reviews.
Click the event link in the list on the left side of the Facebook homepage to enter the event page.
The event list on this page is empty by default. You can click the “Create Event” button to open the Create Event page. There is a drop-down button in the upper left corner of the page. Click it to open the drop-down list and select the event type.
Create a private event: visible only to invited users.
Create a public event: visible to all Facebook users or non-users. We can make corresponding choices according to our needs. Here we choose “Create Private Event”. It should be noted that private events cannot be changed to public events after they are created. This is a regulation made by Facebook to protect user privacy. After selecting the event type, you need to select an event theme photo. There are two ways to choose the event theme photo. One is to directly use the default photo in the theme provided by Facebook; the other is to select a photo from the computer to upload.
We choose to upload a photo from our computer. Then fill in other information and select an event location. It should be noted that this location is directly related to the map, so when filling it in, try to directly select the location in the drop-down list that pops up, because the event created in this way can be directly displayed on the Facebook map. If you only fill in an actual address, the Facebook map will not be displayed. You can set whether the users in this event need to invite their friends to join. If necessary, check the “Guests can invite friends” checkbox. After filling in, you need to confirm whether the information is filled in correctly, and then click the “Create Event” button. In this way, the event is successfully created, and the event we just created will be displayed on the event main page.
