In 2015, Lazada officially opened a live channel for Chinese sellers, and many domestic export e-commerce sellers began to flock in. However, in the specific store operation process, many novice sellers still need to improve in order management and logistics distribution. The following will analyze these two aspects in detail to help domestic sellers better manage and operate stores on the Lazada platform.

Order process status

(1) Log in to the seller backend to view order information: click the “Orders” button and select the “Manage Orders” option.

(2) Process the order. After the consumer successfully places an order and the Lazada platform successfully receives the payment, the seller center will generate an order. The seller can process it by clicking the “Pending” button. In order to avoid the situation where the order has to be cancelled due to insufficient inventory, the seller needs to update his inventory in real time.

(3) Update the order. When the seller center receives the user’s order, it must click the “Ready to Ship” option on the “Pending” page within 48 hours to update the order. If there is insufficient inventory or the goods are not shipped in time, you need to click the “Canceled” button.

(4) Logistics and delivery. If the seller uses Lazada’s logistics service LGS for delivery, when the courier arrives at the logistics center in the target country, the Lazada backend system will automatically update the order status; if a third-party logistics company is used for delivery, when the Lazada backend system confirms the order is valid, it will update the order status to “Shipped”. In addition, there is a “Delivery failed” button on the “Shipped” page. Sellers should try not to click this button, otherwise even if the package successfully arrives in the hands of the consumer, Lazada will not pay the seller.

(5) When the consumer successfully receives the package and the logistics information is updated in time, Lazada will update the order status to “Delivered”. Sometimes, the logistics information in the seller center may be updated after 2 days, but the Lazada system will only settle the payment for the seller when the logistics information changes to “Delivered”.
