1. What are the conditions for opening a Lazada store?

Lazada does not set a high entry threshold for sellers. Domestic sellers only need a business license and a copy of their ID card to easily open a store on the Lazada platform.

After registering as a seller on the Lazada platform, the service staff responsible for attracting merchants will send the seller a registration form and a new sales account information form. Sellers should note that when filling out the registration form, the company name and seller name should be in Chinese, while the address column should be filled in English.

The specific operation process is: first fill out the registration form. After the review is passed, Lazada will send the online signing agreement and registration link to the email address filled in when registering the seller account. Then the seller downloads the new sales account information form and fills it out, and then sends the applicant’s ID card copy and the company’s business license to the Lazada platform.

Lazada platform requires sellers to provide a company license before opening a store.

2. Lazada registration and store opening process

(1) Online registration. Enter the Lazada.com/sell website and fill in the relevant information. The default language of the website is all English, but it can also be switched to Chinese mode.

(2) Fill in the application form. After completing the first step, you will receive a welcome email to register with Lazada. Then follow the prompts to fill in the seller application form and upload your company’s business license.

(3) Activate the Seller Center. The Lazada platform will send a confirmation email to the seller. The seller needs to log in to the Seller Center and reset the Seller Center password according to the prompts to effectively activate the Seller Center.

(4) Online test. The seller will receive an email inviting the seller to participate in relevant training. The seller needs to learn the relevant rules and regulations of Lazada and participate in the online test. The seller must score at least 85 points to be qualified.

(5) Upload products for review. The total number of product SKUs cannot be less than 50, and the quality must meet the relevant requirements of Lazada.

(6) Participate in training courses. This process is only for a small number of sellers. After Lazada screens out the list of sellers who need to participate in training, customer service staff will proactively contact them to remind them to participate in the training.
