Temu platform issued a notice on the compliance of children’s products, aiming to protect the legitimate rights and interests of platform consumers and ensure the normal sales and compliance requirements of children’s products in the destination country. According to the notice, sellers will need to provide CPC certification when selling products that are mainly used by children aged 12 and below.
CPC certification requirements and instructions:
Compliance with the compliance requirements of the destination country: All products must comply with the compliance requirements of the destination country market. The platform will continue to strengthen the random inspection management of CPC certification of children’s products to ensure the legality and safety of the products.
Special product requirements: For children’s pajamas, children’s accessories and toys under 3 years old, CPC certification qualifications must be uploaded from the time the products are released to meet more stringent compliance standards.
Intensified spot checks: For other children’s products, once sales reach a certain level, the platform will increase the intensity of spot checks on CPC certification qualifications to ensure that they meet the platform’s compliance standards.
Qualification control measures:
The platform requires sellers to strictly control product qualifications and ensure that true and accurate CPC certification qualification certification documents are uploaded. The platform will have the right to conduct random inspections on incoming goods, and will take serious action against violations such as falsification of qualifications or quality degradation. Sellers must regulate their own behavior and avoid violations of platform regulations.
Choice of third-party testing agencies:
In order to meet the compliance requirements of the destination country, the issuance of CPC certificates must be based on the test results of third-party testing laboratories recognized by CPSC. Therefore, the platform recommends that sellers choose compliant laboratories for testing to ensure the quality and safety of products.
Documents and time limit required for CPC certification:
In order to obtain CPC certification, sellers need to provide business licenses, application forms, and provide samples for testing. The entire certification process is expected to take 5 working days, and sellers must complete the application and review of relevant qualifications within the specified time.
Through this series of compliance measures, Temu is committed to providing sellers with a safer and more reliable children’s product sales environment, while ensuring that consumers can purchase children’s products that meet high standards. Sellers should actively respond and cooperate in relevant certifications to jointly maintain a healthy operating environment for the platform.
