Humans are social animals with many desires and pursuits. The current popular personal image design has become a huge market, which illustrates this problem. “Personalized” websites have this function. “Personalized” websites are the most novel, intuitive and advanced of all forms.

Does your e-commerce website boldly “emphasize personalization” or does it look the same as other similar websites?

Do your homepage, “about” page and product descriptions show the brand’s style, uniqueness and values? Is the tone you use unique enough and completely your own style?

For example, Dayspring, an American e-commerce website specializing in holiday greeting cards and gifts, just look at their homepage (see Figure 2-3), you can tell that this is a website that emphasizes “belief”. The “belief” of this website is to encourage customers, enhance their enthusiasm and strengthen their beliefs.

Uncommon Goods claims that their uniqueness lies not only in their products, but also in the way they position their products (see Figure 2-4). In their hands, a simple bound cloth notebook becomes “a lasting family keepsake”, “a treasure trove of experiences”, “a colorful personal memoir: recording memories of first dates, lifelong friendships, meaningful stories and crystallized wisdom.” From their homepage to product descriptions to their blog posts, their tone and attitude are clear, unique, and completely show their own style. So, how should you add a personalized element to your copy? All you have to do is carefully polish your brand values and vision and incorporate it into the copy. How do you want your brand to be known by customers? Is it laid-back, approachable or noble and luxurious? What tone do you want to write copy with? Is it a mixture of fun and friendly, or a fusion of formal and professional? We should treat the website as a personal pet, take good care of it every day, and devote our personal enthusiasm. Share all kinds of practical knowledge to make the website entertaining. Your favorite text, images, and audio-visual materials can be placed on your personal website to add diversity.
