For products on the Amazon platform, you can analyze them through the three dimensions of product analysis, data monitoring, and category analysis provided by Haiying Data. At present, the product analysis module has only developed the product search function. The Amazon data product search page is shown in Figure 2-27. Product search can query key data from the following multiple dimensions:
●Query site: United States, United Kingdom, Germany.
●Product title (multiple search terms, separated by spaces).
●Parent ASIN/variant ASIN.
●Brand
●Store.
●Current ranking of major categories.
Data monitoring is a new function launched by Haiying Data for the Amazon platform, which mainly monitors product rankings, product keywords, and product follow-up sales data. However, this function is currently only available to registered users.
When querying Amazon data through Haiying Data, you need to pay attention to the following matters:
(1) Crawl scope. The first 40,000 products under the Clothing Shoes & Jewelry category on the US site; the first 20,000 products under the category on other sites.
(2) Special products. Do not crawl products in branch categories and products without first-level rankings. Only crawl products with first-level category rankings in leaf categories.
(3) Crawl effect. The crawl success rate of variant ASINs within the crawl range of each first-level category is 80%~95% (crawling frequency: about 1 round every 2 days).
(4) Exception handling. If multiple crawls are actually performed on a certain day, the latest value will prevail. If no crawls are performed on that day, the last actual crawl value will be used.
(5) Product search. Only variant ASIN data actually crawled within the previous 7 days can be queried and displayed (for example, assuming that today is the 27th of a certain month, only the data of the previous 7 days, i.e., the 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 26th, can be crawled).
(6) Text search, case-insensitive.
(7) Search matching, title search, partial matching: ASIN search, complete matching: brand search, complete matching: store search, complete matching.
(8) Add ASIN. If the ASIN is not recorded, directly use the ASIN to search, the system will automatically record the ASIN, and the data of the ASIN will appear within 2 days; if the first-level category ranking of the ASIN is after 50,000, it will be automatically abandoned and no records will be captured.
(9) 50% of the ASINs on Amazon US have no shelf time, so it is recommended not to use this function.
