In addition, the drastic reduction of international commercial flights, including the recent new measures taken by the Civil Aviation Administration of China to limit the number of international passenger flights arriving per week, has adjusted the overall logistics prices in Latin America.

Andy Zhu said that the delivery time and cancellation rate of orders of sellers who currently officially use official cooperative logistics will not be affected by the epidemic. However, for sellers who ship by themselves, the impact is self-evident. Taking Brazil as an example, if the number of flights is reduced to one flight a week, Mercado Libre’s delivery time will be extended by 2 to 3 days accordingly. However, Sao Paulo and Rio can guarantee the timeliness, and remote areas may be extended by 2 to 3 days, but extending the appropriate delivery time will not harm the seller. After all, an extension of 2 to 3 days is still within the logistics and delivery time allowed by the platform.
2. Try to use platform logistics and avoid China Post and Singapore Post parcels.
According to feedback from mercado libre’s cooperative logistics operators, Mexico’s current freight prices are still normal. For sellers using Mercado Libre’s overseas warehouses in Mexico, Andy Zhu believes that as long as the seller ensures that the overseas warehouses have sufficient inventory, local delivery in Mexico will not be affected. Therefore, Andy Zhu reminds sellers to try to choose platform logistics instead of China Post and Singapore Post packages.
