The related fees involved in FBA include order delivery fees, inventory storage fees (monthly + long-term), removal order fees, return processing fees and unplanned pre-processing service fees.

1. Order delivery fees

FBA delivery fees depend on the weight and size of the packaged goods (product size segment). If the goods are sold in sets, the total weight and size of the whole set of goods after packaging will be calculated.

2. Inventory storage fees

FBA inventory storage fees are divided into monthly inventory storage fees and long-term inventory storage fees. Storage fees vary depending on the product size segment and month. Amazon generally charges the storage fee for the previous month between the 7th and 15th of the next month.

Every February 15th and August 15th, Amazon Logistics will conduct inventory inventory. On these two days, products that have been stored in Amazon’s operations center for 6 to 12 months and more than 12 months (including 12 months) will be subject to long-term storage fee assessment.

3. Removal Order Fee

The removal fee is charged for each item removed. Typically, removal orders are processed within 10 to 14 business days. However, during holidays and peak removal periods (February, March, August, and September), it may take up to 30 days or longer to process removal orders.

4. Return Processing Fee

The return processing fee is equal to the total delivery fee for a given item. This fee applies to items sold on Amazon that belong to selected categories (apparel, watches, jewelry, shoes, handbags, sunglasses, and luggage) for which Amazon provides free customer return shipping and are actually returned to an Amazon fulfillment center. When multiple items are shipped to customers in a single order, the return processing fee for a single item may be higher than the total delivery fee.

Take a handbag with a delivery weight of 1 pound (about 0.45 kg) and sold between January and September as an example. The Amazon logistics delivery fee for this transaction is $2.99. If the buyer decides to return the product, the seller needs to pay a return processing fee of $2.99.

5. Unplanned pre-processing service fee

If the goods shipped to Amazon are not properly pre-processed or labeled, unplanned pre-processing services such as labeling or plastic bag packaging will need to be implemented in the Amazon operation center, and these services will be charged a certain fee.
