Linio settlement process and precautions analysis: fully understand the settlement conditions and operation details
Linio is Latin America’s largest B2C e-commerce platform, headquartered in Mexico, focusing on the Western market and operating in eight countries including Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico and Panama. For Chinese sellers who plan to open a store on Linio, it is important to understand the entry conditions and precautions.
1. Linio entry conditions
1. Enterprise qualification
Sellers entering Linio must be enterprises, and individual users are not allowed to register.
2. Submit basic information
When applying for settlement, sellers need to provide the following information:
- Company name
- Legal name
- Tax ID
- Linio store name
- Contact information
- Product information, including the top five selling brands and the number of SKUs.
3. Shipping information
The store opening countries supported by Linio include Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico and Panama. Sellers need to choose the appropriate shipping method, such as postal, express or postal plus express, and fill in the seller’s domestic warehouse address. For each order, the seller should deliver within the order processing time and provide valid logistics information.
4. Payment method
Sellers need to fill in information about payment methods and invoice addresses.
2. Fee structure
Linio does not charge entry fees or monthly fees, only commissions. After the order is completed, the seller needs to pay Linio a commission of 7% to 15%, depending on the product type.
3. Important Notes
1. Operating language and content requirements
Although Linio’s backend operation interface is in English, the SKU content must be written in Spanish and Chinese characters are prohibited, so sellers need to translate it themselves.
2. Pricing and Exchange Rate
Sellers must confirm the accuracy of exchange rates before pricing in local currency on each site. Excessively high cancellation rates may result in the store being permanently closed.
3. Logistics processing
For shipments containing multiple products in an order, sellers need to obtain separate orders, and combined shipments are prohibited. At the same time, Linio requires that sellers should have valid logistics information within five working days after receiving a new order, and delivery must be completed within the third day at the latest.
4. Product registration and holiday settings
Colombia and Peru have strict filing requirements for products involving communication functions, such as mobile phones and tablets. Sellers must consult with the docking manager before listing. In addition, sellers are not allowed to set holiday mode at will and must communicate with the docking manager in advance[2].
For sellers who plan to do business in Linio, clearly following the above entry conditions and operational details will greatly increase the possibility of success.
