Complete Guide to Jumia Order and Shipping Management
On the Jumia platform, after successfully uploading products, the first task faced by sellers is to effectively manage the delivery of paid orders received. In African markets with relatively low credibility, providing fast and high-quality shipping services can not only help sellers win the favor of consumers, but also significantly increase the repurchase rate of products.
Notes on order processing
Sellers need to be particularly aware that international sellers cannot service Cash on Delivery (COD) orders. Once a COD order is received, sellers must not carry out delivery operations, but should submit relevant complaints to the “Problem Order” window of “PSC Seller Management Group Instructions” in a timely manner. If the seller delivers the goods, even if there are payment issues, the platform cannot provide support or remedial measures.
Overview of order management module
In the backend management system of Seller Center, the operation of the order management module is mainly divided into four stages:
- Pending: Indicates unprocessed orders received by Seller Center. The seller must process and ship the goods within three working days, otherwise the order will be automatically canceled.
- Ready to Ship: The seller has completed preparations for shipment.
- Shipped: The package has been shipped through the system and updated with shipping status. At this time, the Jumia platform will be responsible for subsequent transportation and delivery.
- Completed: The status of the package has been delivered, which can be successfully delivered, canceled or returned.
Specific steps
Step one: Enter the order management module
Click “Orders” from the backend homepage of the Seller Center to enter the order management module.
Step 2: View pending orders
View pending orders in the “Pending” section, and click “Ready to Ship” if the order is ready to be shipped. At this time, the seller should choose the nearest transit warehouse for shipment. Transit warehouses refer to the six transit warehouses established by the Jumia platform in China, which will be explained in detail in the subsequent direct mail delivery section. The system will automatically generate a tracking ID, and the seller needs to click “Ready to Ship” at the end to complete this step.
Step 3: Print shipping label
Next, click “Shipping Labels” to print the shipping documents. Jumia’s shipping labels are similar to receipts and contain all the order’s information, such as quantity, payment method, and shipping address.
Step 4: Package and update status
Finally, sellers should package the products that need to be shipped and update the order status within 24 hours to ensure that orders are processed in a timely manner.
By following the above steps, sellers can effectively manage orders and shipments, improve service quality on the Jumia platform, and thereby enhance customer satisfaction and repurchase rates.
