Batch uploading products and updating product information on the Jumia platform is an efficient way for sellers to manage products. Below are detailed steps to help sellers successfully complete this process.

Step one: Enter the seller center

First, open the Seller Center. Click “Products” in the menu and select “Import Products” to enter the bulk upload page.

Step 2: Prepare product information

1. Download category catalog

Before uploading products, sellers need to download the latest Category Tree to find the specific ID corresponding to the added category.

2. Download SKU batch creation form

Select the category corresponding to the SKU, click and download the SKU batch creation form (Product Creation by Category Templates). Next, click “Click Here” and then “Download” to download. After downloading, the seller needs to fill in the SKU information to be created into the form and then prepare to upload it.

3. Things to note when filling in the form

When filling out the form, sellers should pay attention to the following points:

• Fill in and edit all SKU creation information in the “Upload Template” subform.
• Product names should follow the following naming rules: product type + product model + keywords + color, and avoid any brand information.
• Brand application is similar to uploading a single SKU; if the corresponding brand name is not found, you can apply to the platform. After the application is successful, you need to download the form again.
• The product weight should be filled in kilograms (kg), such as 0.5kg.
• Product warranty information is not yet available for international sellers, so fill in N/A uniformly.
• Requirements for other items such as product description, picture specifications, etc. are just like uploading a single SKU. Only one “Primary Category” needs to be filled in by the seller.
• The URL image link generated in the table should be a pure image link. It is recommended to use a website to generate links (such as imgbb, etc.) and avoid using unstable domestic servers (such as QQ Space or Baidu Cloud Map) to avoid image upload loss.

Step 3: Upload CSV file

After completing the form, save it in CSV format. Next, return to the seller center, click “Products” (product management) > “Import products” (batch upload products) > “Import Updating Info for Products” (import updated information for products), select the CSV file just generated, Then upload to complete the batch upload of SKUs.
