Contact the Investment Manager: First, sellers need to contact Jumia’s Investment Manager to obtain the “Jumia Overseas Warehouse Application Notice” and fill in the online application form according to the instructions to apply for a COD account. Official review: After submitting the application, the official review will be completed within 3 to 5 working days.

Notification of review results: The review results will be notified to the applicant via email. If the application is successful, your new email address will receive an email for changing your password; if it fails the review, you will receive a corresponding notification email.

Account binding and activation: Sellers who pass the review must bind the same P-card account as the direct mail account within the next working day, and notify the merchant manager to complete the account activation.
Basic delivery process
- Get “PO” (Purchase Order) in “Seller Center” system.
- Stock up goods and prepare packing list documents.
- Send a forecast email to the logistics provider to reserve the warehouse, and make sure to obtain the SO# (warehousing number).
- Pack the products according to the prescribed standards, and affix the Jumia SKU barcode and outer box label stickers on the outer packaging.
- Transport the goods to the designated logistics provider’s warehouse.
- After the international transportation is completed, send an email to Jumia overseas warehouse to make an appointment for warehousing.
- The final step is to wait for the product to be available.
Shipping precautions
- Advance forecast: Forecast shipping information to the logistics provider via email at least one day in advance before shipment, and obtain the warehouse number.
- Special Product Instructions: Products containing batteries must attach an MSDS report to the forecast email.
- Packing list management: Each PO (purchase order) should correspond to an independent Packing List (packing list), and batch shipments are prohibited; mobile phones, tablets and other devices must Apply for PO separately.
- Physical verification: If the actual goods received by the Jumia warehouse are inconsistent with the system records, the actual goods will be processed into the warehouse and put on the shelves for sale at the recommended price. After that, the seller can Adjust selling price.
- SKU packaging rules: A SKU can only be concentrated in one box and is not allowed to be placed in different boxes.
- Delivery appointment time: When making an appointment for delivery, you need to confirm the specific time with Jumia overseas warehouse by email 48 to 96 hours in advance.
- Insurance service: For items of higher value, it is recommended that sellers consider purchasing relevant insurance.
