In a short period of time, the seller uploaded many products and decorated the store. Since it is a new store, it is not very popular and the exposure is not satisfactory. The seller plans to use some of the built-in promotional tools on eBay to carry out marketing activities to attract customers and increase sales.

[Required information]

A normally operating eBay store.

[Operation skills]

Log in to the seller account and enter the backend operation center of the eBay store. We can see that there is a discount tool in the left sidebar. After clicking on Marketing tools, we can see that there is an Item Promotion in the left column. Under this Item Promotion, select Markdown Manager.

Select Markdown Manager and click create sales to start creating an event.

You need to set the event title, event start time, end time and discount strength. For example, you can write the date and then add the discount in the title, such as “2018041705%”. There is something to note about the discount here. The off percentage refers to what should be deducted, such as 60% off, the actual price is 40% of the selling price; the discount price is set to 60%, and the actual price is 60% of the selling price.

Next, start adding products. eBay provides several modes here: ① is to add all products in a category, ② is all fixed price links, ③ is free shipping auction links, and ④ is to add any products you want to discount.

After adding the product, click create your sale to confirm. After submitting the event, you return to the markdown manager page. If you need to modify the event, you can click “edit”. At this location, there is also a view listings, where you can view the specific products that have been added to the event.

Note:

1. Other bundled promotion tools that come with eBay include: eBay-promotions related promotions, eBay-promoted through-train promotions, eBay-listing Bundled promotion.

2. After the promotion has been going on for a while, the effect must be evaluated and improved. You can view the detailed promotion data through the Promotions submenu of Marketing in Seller Hub.
