Uploading product information using CSV files can quickly upload products in batches. CSV files are files that can import hundreds or even thousands of products into the system at one time. CSV files can be created using tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Drive. Essentially, a CSV file is a spreadsheet with corresponding attributes for each cell. If you master it, you can significantly reduce the time it takes to upload products. As a novice seller, you need to master the method of using CSV to upload products in batches.
1. Create a CSV file.
Create a product information spreadsheet. Take an Excel spreadsheet as an example. The first row of the table lists some product attributes that may be needed. This row does not need to be modified. Fill in the products and their attributes. Try uploading a small amount of 10 to 20 products first. If the product has multiple attributes such as color and size, the initial number can be controlled to about 10 products. After completing the product information, save it as a CSV file. If you are using an Excel spreadsheet, click “File” – “Save As”, and then select “Comma Separated Values (.csv)” as the storage format.
Usually, attributes include item number, item number, price, product name (title), quantity (inventory), shipping cost, product main image link, label, product description, product size, product color, manufacturer’s suggested retail price, product brand, product auxiliary image link, product barcode, shipping time, etc. The product main image link is relatively complicated. All images in the CSV file need to be uploaded in the form of links. You can upload them to Baidu Cloud Disk and then fill in the image link here.
2. Upload the CSV file.
Log in to your account in the merchant backend, click “Products>Add New Products>Product CSV File”, the page will jump to http://merchant.wish.com/feed-upload, then select the CSV file and click Upload.
3. Map CSV columns to Wish attributes.
The first row of the uploaded table is only the product attribute name. Now match the uploaded attribute name with the system attribute name, which we call “mapping”. You can map attributes on the left side of the page, and you will see a preview of the product information being uploaded on the right side of the page. After completing the mapping, click “Continue”. After completing the mapping of all required fields, the button will turn from blue to gray and can be clicked.
4. Upload confirmation and upload status.
You will receive an instant confirmation message when the product upload is completed. The product entry will be completed within 24 hours. You can click the blue button “View Import Status Page” to check the product upload status.
