How to efficiently interpret and utilize the eBay account backend
Registration and login
After registering an eBay account, users can either use the account to purchase goods or use the account to list items for sale. Enter the account background
Log in to the homepage of the website and click the “My eBay” hyperlink on the upper right to enter the account backend. The background information is generally divided into two parts: one part is account information, including “Activity” (activity), “Message” (information) and “Account” (account), and the other part is product advertising and promotion.
Activity page
The “Activity” page mainly displays the user’s shopping records and sales records. By clicking the hyperlinks in the list on the left, users can quickly access information such as recently viewed content, bids/bargains, shopping history, followed lists, saved visitors, saved sellers, and more. In the “Sell” (I want to sell) drop-down list, it includes all items for sale, items scheduled for listing, items on sale, sold items, unsold items, shipping labels, and returned items and delete functions.
Messages page
Click the “Messages” tab to enter the account information interface, which mainly includes some received information: the information management area is on the left and the received letters are on the right.
Account page
In the account page, users can modify the account information to make the seller’s information more complete, view the seller’s performance list and credit evaluation, and pay attention to sales performance. Specific functions include:
- Personal Information: Set and modify account-related information, such as account type, password, name, password prompt questions, email and contact information, credit card information, etc.;
- Addresses: including account registration address, item delivery address, etc.;
- Communication Preferences: Set how and when to receive eBay sales notifications, set how to communicate with other members, and set whether to accept sales emails and promotional materials;
- Site Preferences: Modify users’ payment methods on eBay and set buyer conditions;
- Seller Dashboard: Monitor seller account performance and understand the seller’s sales performance on eBay;
- Feedback (Credit Evaluation): Write an item credit evaluation, view, reply, supplement or modify the credit evaluation;
- PayPal Account: Modify and set up PayPal account information;
- Donation Account: Participate in charity projects;
- Subscription: You can subscribe to the sales tools provided by eBay for sellers, such as bulk upload wizard, eBay store, sales experts and sales reports;
- Resolution Center: If problems arise during the sales process that cannot be resolved after negotiation between the buyer and the seller, you can apply for mediation here.
