Amazon Dragon Boat Plan: an efficient logistics solution to help Chinese sellers cross-border e-commerce
Amazon Dragon Boat China Consolidation, the full name of Amazon China Dragon Boat Consolidation cross-border logistics service, is an important strategic layout of Amazon Logistics Plus plan in China. This plan aims to provide one-stop logistics solutions for FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) products sold on the Amazon platform, including transportation, warehousing, packaging and distribution services, and ultimately achieve a seamless connection between the origin and the sales location.
Dragon Boat Plan adopts LCL (container-to-container) logistics service, focusing on the efficient transportation of bulk goods, and does not accept small-volume and scattered mailing services. Chinese Amazon sellers participating in the program can use Amazon’s air, sea and rail transportation to directly transport goods overseas, changing the traditional model of relying on express delivery or third-party logistics. Amazon is responsible for delivering the goods to the FBA warehouse in the target country, thereby providing a more stable, fast and efficient service. At the same time, sellers who join the Dragon Boat Plan can give priority to making reservations for PBA warehouses so that their goods can enter the warehouse 5 days before ordinary FBA goods.
Through this plan, Chinese sellers only need to transport goods to Amazon’s warehouse in China, and subsequent export customs clearance, transportation, import customs clearance, and goods warehousing are all officially handled by Amazon. This will help Chinese sellers better expand the international market, especially in dealing with multiple barriers such as cross-border supervision, taxation, language, freight and payment in Europe, and promote the comprehensive coverage of goods in various countries.
The basic process of the Dragon Boat Project is: shipment from Chinese factories or sellers to Amazon’s China warehouse, customs export, transportation, customs import, and finally arriving at the destination Amazon warehouse, and then Amazon delivers it to the end customer. During the “Black Friday” peak season, Dragon Boat Project was even able to complete the entire process from receiving goods to selling on shelves within 29 days, demonstrating its efficiency and reliability.
This plan has a wide range of services, covering three modes of air transport, sea transport and rail transport. It can be undertaken by almost all cities. However, sea transport services are only available for specific ports, such as Beijing and Tianjin in North China, Ningbo and Shanghai in East China, and South China. Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xiamen and Hong Kong. In this regard, sellers who have not been able to enter FBA due to heavy or oversized goods can successfully send their goods to FBA warehouses through the Dragon Boat Program, thereby helping the seller’s business growth.
