Wish platform fine payment guide and precautions
As a global e-commerce platform, Wish not only provides many sellers with the opportunity to sell goods, but also formulates a series of strict rules to ensure the fairness and standardization of the platform. When sellers violate the rules of the platform, Wish has the right to fine them. This article aims to help sellers understand the specific payment methods of Wish fines and related precautions.
Methods for payment of fines
Normally, the Wish platform will deduct the penalty directly from the seller’s account. If the seller’s account balance is insufficient, the penalty will be displayed as a negative number and will be automatically deducted when the account balance is restored. If the account balance is insufficient to pay the penalty, the Wish platform will deduct it from the seller’s security deposit first, and then the seller will make up the security deposit.
Penalty standards for different violations
Violation of prohibited items
Violations of Wish’s Prohibited Items Policy may result in fines of up to $10 per violation.
Selling counterfeit goods or goods that infringe intellectual property rights
Such violations will result in the removal of the offending item, a hold on all payments, and potential fines of up to $10 per offending item.
Misleading products/variations
Selling products or variations that are judged to be misleading can result in a fine of up to $200 for each offending product/variation if a user places an order within 30 days of confirmation of the violation.
Control reviews and ratings
If a seller is found to be manipulating reviews or ratings on their store, they may be fined no more than $10 per order involved in such behavior.
Remove promotional products or block delivery countries
Sellers will be fined $1 when they remove promotional products with a total transaction volume of more than $500 in the past 9 days or block shipping countries with sales of more than $100 in the past 9 days.
Things to note when dealing with fines
- Keep the account balance sufficient: After receiving the penalty notice, make sure there are enough funds in the account to pay the penalty to avoid the failure of deductions from affecting the reputation of the store.
- Timely appeal: If you believe that the fine has been misjudged, you should collect relevant evidence (such as product descriptions, pictures, logistics information, etc.) as soon as possible, and write a clear and concise appeal letter and submit it to the platform.
- Preventing recurrence of violations: Carefully analyze the causes of violations, actively correct mistakes, and prevent similar problems from occurring in the future.
In short, as a seller on the Wish platform, it is important to understand and abide by the rules of the platform. Once you receive a fine notice, you should handle it properly in accordance with the prescribed procedures to avoid unnecessary trouble for your business.
