Solution

Use the warehouse function

If your store already uses the warehouse function, you can solve the problem of order SKU changes by editing additional products. The specific steps are as follows:

  • Edit to add products: On the pending review or pending order details page, select Edit to add and add the product SKU and quantity that need to be changed.
  • Apply for a waybill number: After completing the editing and addition, apply for a waybill number and print the bill. The SKU of the corresponding product in the warehouse will be displayed on the face sheet to avoid the possibility of incorrect shipment.

The warehouse function is not used

If your store does not yet use the warehouse feature, you can solve the problem of SKU changes by adding product SKUs and pairing them with orders. The specific steps are as follows:

  • Add product SKU: On the product management page of the warehouse, add a new product SKU and set it to the SKU required by the buyer, for example, the SKU is skuA–blue.
  • Order matching SKU: On the order details page, select No warehouse, then click on the matching product SKU, and select the SKU just added to confirm the matching. In this way, the products in the order are paired with the newly added SKU.
  • Order processing: After completing the SKU matching, follow the normal order processing process to review the order, select the logistics method, apply for the waybill number and print the bill. The correct SKU will be displayed on the face sheet to meet the buyer’s requirements.

Creation of combined SKU

In the process of operating a cross-border e-commerce store, if your products are packaged and sold with multiple sub-SKUs, each time a set of such products is sold, multiple sub-SKUs need to be deducted at the same time when shipping. If there is inventory, you can create a combined SKU in the store secretary backend. The specific steps are as follows:

  • Open the warehouse page, then select Product Management, then click Add Product and select the option to add a combined SKU.
  • Customize product combination SKU. Here you need to decide according to the actual situation of your own product, set the included sub-SKU and quantity, and then click Save to create it.

  • If you use the warehouse function, please pay attention to updating the inventory location.
  • If the logistics provider does not support adding SKU, please print the secret distribution list or picking list and print the SKU on the distribution list.
  • Before adding a combined SKU, you must first create a sub-SKU on the product management page. The sub-SKU here can be a single product SKU or a processed SKU, depending on your actual product.
  • In the warehouse list, the unit price and inventory of the combined SKU are automatically calculated based on the sub-SKU and cannot be changed manually.
  • Generally, combined SKUs cannot be shipped directly from the warehouse. The inventory of the sub-SKUs is deducted from the shipment, but both the combined SKUs and the sub-SKUs will be displayed on the warehouse entry and exit records.
