In order to provide merchants with an excellent sales experience, Lazada will regularly check the quality of products on the Lazada platform. This is to ensure that all online products are attractive. According to the Lazada product quality rules, Lazada will identify products with poor quality and remove them from the shelves. The goal is to give merchants enough time to check and update the content, thereby improving the quality of products and providing consumers with a better shopping experience. The editor will tell you about it today.

Under what circumstances will the product be removed from the shelves?

Here are some of the reasons (this is not an exhaustive list):

1. The product title is too short and/or meaningless

2. The PQI index of the product is poor (too high)

3. Products whose competitiveness needs to be improved

The product title is too short and/or meaningless

Based on experience, products with very short and/or meaningless descriptions are more likely to be sampled and inspected by customs and refused entry by customs.

The PQI index of the product is poor (too high)

We measure product quality based on product ratings, buyer returns due to sellers, and buyer complaints.

Products with poor PQI indexes will be taken offline so that sellers have enough time to improve the quality of their products.

What is the Product Quality Index (PQI)?

In order to provide a better consumer experience, we measure product quality based on product ratings, buyer returns due to sellers, and buyer complaints. If the product quality index of a product is too poor, it will cause the product to be taken offline or locked.

We measure product quality based on product ratings, buyer returns due to sellers, and buyer complaints.

Under what circumstances will a seller receive a poor PQI index?

The following reasons may lead to a poor PQI index, such as (but not limited to):

The product is very close to or has exceeded its shelf life

The product is damaged

The product does not match the description

Missing accessories

Wrong product sent

How to collect PQI buyer feedback?

In the following cases, we will collect buyer feedback on product quality issues related to your product:

Buyers give low product quality scores and negative product quality reviews

Feedback provided when the product is returned for seller-related reasons

Buyers report product quality issues by contacting Lazada platform customer service

How is the PQI index calculated?

The PQI score is the percentage of cases marked as having product quality issues to the total number of orders in the past month. When the PQI index of a product does not meet the reasonable index recognized by the platform, the product will be offline.

For example: If a product has negative product reviews and buyer complaints, this will only be counted as 1 case of product quality issues, not two.

When the PQI index of a product does not meet the reasonable index recognized by the platform, the product will be offline.

How to determine whether the product PQI index does not meet the reasonable index recognized by the platform?

We will notify you by email that your product will be offline because the PQI score of your product does not meet the reasonable index recognized by the platform. By setting the product offline, you can query the relevant products and reasons for offline in ASC-Product-Manage Product-Poor Quality and re-edit the product to put it on the shelf.

What if the product has been offline many times due to the product quality index?

If the product has been offline for more than 3 times due to the product quality index, the product will be locked. If you want to appeal, you can appeal in ASC-Growth Center.
