In the past, if sellers wanted to participate in flash sales, they had to submit an application to the investment manager. Now, Amazon has launched a new function for self-service flash sales, which directly puts “flash sales” under the “advertising” column. If the seller meets the application conditions, Amazon will also recommend it in the “advertising” column. In this way, sellers can apply for flash sales at any time.

The self-service flash sales application is automatically approved by Amazon’s system based on the seller’s product inventory, historical sales, number of positive reviews, discount strength, whether FBA is used for delivery, etc. The effect of each flash sales event (sales volume, sales revenue, positive review rate, order defect rate, etc.) will also affect the number of times the seller can be recommended by Amazon to participate in flash sales in the future.

So how do sellers create self-service flash sales? Here are the steps.

(1) Select the “flash sales” sub-option in the “advertising” navigation bar in the Amazon seller backend.

(2) Sellers will then see all the products that are eligible to participate in the flash sales among the products they uploaded. Sellers can select the products to participate in the flash sales from these products, and the Amazon backend will display the current inventory quantity and the recommended promotion quantity.

(3) After confirming the products to be included in the flash sale, the seller can click the “Edit” button to set the flash sale quantity, flash sale price and flash sale time of the products, and then submit it directly after checking.

Here are two suggestions for sellers: first, to increase the product’s rating star rating as much as possible and use FBA for delivery; second, for sellers who are participating in flash sales for the first time, it is best to consult sellers who have participated in flash sales for relevant precautions to avoid violating Amazon’s rules during the flash sale process, which would be counterproductive.
