From the initial prototype of storing goods in international student apartments or underground garages, overseas warehouses now have tens of thousands of square meters of special warehouse space, with increasing scale and increasingly improved service standards. Overseas warehouses are an indispensable part of cross-border business, whether it is e-commerce sales or white sellers. Germany is the largest economy in Europe and the largest commercial market for European e-commerce sellers. Let’s take a look at the cost of relabeling in German overseas warehouses.
The basic service fee for ordinary return relabeling in German overseas warehouses consists of warehouse operating fees, storage fees and freight.
The in-warehouse operation fee includes labeling fees and product packaging fees. According to the specific size and weight of the seller’s product, the German overseas warehouse SKU determines the number of labeling fees, including printing labels and labeling labor costs. If the seller’s goods are mixed and there are many SKUs, the overseas warehouse needs to separate different types of products and then label them, which will charge additional sorting fees and counting fees.
The packaging fee includes packaging, sealing operation fees and carton material fees. If the customer needs to pay, the overseas warehouse will charge a payment operation fee, including payment of labor and material fees (plastic film), but excluding European plates.
The storage cost is relatively low, much lower than that of Amazon warehouses. The German overseas warehouse is calculated based on the first day that the first batch of goods is on the shelf. It is free within 30 days, and it is calculated per cubic meter for more than 30 days. The longer the storage time, the higher the cost. It is generally not recommended for sellers to store for a long time, because the longer the storage time means that the product is not easy to sell and unsalable. Sellers not only occupy inventory, but also cannot recover funds in time, which is easy to cause difficulties in capital flow and affect the capital chain. It is recommended that sellers destroy it as soon as possible and stop losses in time.
The freight includes the cost of sending from the German overseas warehouse to the German Amazon or Amazon warehouse in other EU countries, generally using DHL or DPD, UPS, GLS express delivery.
Amazon self-pickup service is also available for customers. Amazon will create a pickup service directly on Amazon. Amazon will pick up the goods at the overseas warehouse within the specified time.
There is no freight charge for using the German overseas warehouse pickup service, but a warehouse operation fee is charged. It is generally recommended that sellers use Amazon’s self-pickup service. Amazon cooperates with DHL and UPS express delivery. The freight is relatively cheap.
