Basic operation

Alibaba International Station product videos are now open to all Chinese supplier members for free. When sellers publish approved product videos, they will be marked in the main image position of the product detail page and the front search results page to distinguish non-video products. Sellers can choose to shoot and publish product videos for their main products, new products, and hot products.

1) Operation process

Product videos can display product information from all angles, highlight the professionalism of the product, and increase business opportunities. Although product videos do not directly help the ranking at present, high-quality videos are more attractive to buyers and can improve buyers’ favorability towards store products. The product detail page will capture the first frame of the product video for cover display. Sellers can enter the “My Alibaba” backend to publish products and upload videos. The specific operation process is as follows.

(1) Please upgrade the Alibaba International Station Wangpu to the new version 2.0 Wangpu first. The old version of Wangpu does not have the video function.

(2) Upload a high-quality video with a shooting ratio of 16:9 (or 4:3) to the “Video Bank”.

(3) Add a video to the Wangpu 2.0 editing backend. Enter the editor of the “Wangpu Homepage/Custom Page” of the Wangpu 2.0 PC version, and drag and add it to the decoration display area in the “Video” module in the left navigation bar.

(4) Complete the content of the video module. In addition to adding videos, the video module has more settings to help you complete the content filling of the custom area.

2) Product main picture video quality requirements

(1) Users must ensure that the products, brands, music, text, portraits, backgrounds, etc. contained in the uploaded videos are true, accurate, and legal, and do not infringe on the rights of any other party.

(2) The video length shall not exceed 45 seconds. Whether it is the main image video on the wireless terminal or the main image video on the PC terminal, the length requirement is within 45 seconds. When the seller shoots the main image video, it is best to control the length between 9 seconds and 30 seconds. This is because a video that is too short cannot show the full picture or details of the product, while a video that is too long will not only fail to attract consumers, but may also cause consumers to watch incomplete due to its length, and it cannot show all the selling points of the product.

(3) The video resolution must be 480P or above.

(4) The video size shall not exceed 100MB.

(5) Each product can only be associated with one video, and each video shall not be associated with more than 20 products.

3) Product Details Page Video Quality Requirements

(1) Users must ensure that the products, brands, music, text, portraits, backgrounds, etc. contained in the uploaded video are true, accurate, and legal, and do not infringe on the rights of any other party.

(2) The video length shall not exceed 10 minutes.

(3) Video resolution must be 480P or above.

(4) Video size must not exceed 500MB.

(5) Video ratio must be 4:3 (the width of the video resolution is divided by the height. If the value is close to or greater than 1.7, it is 16:9. If the value is close to 1.3, it is 4:3).
