There are always a few days in a year when sellers are unable to go to work due to special reasons. As a Shopee seller, before turning on vacation mode, you must first understand what Response Rate is, in order to effectively avoid and reduce the impact of vacation on your account.
Response Rate refers to the frequency of sellers replying to buyers within 12 hours of receiving messages, including replying to questions, accepting or rejecting buyers’ bargaining. The default setting of the new store backend is 57%, and the system will judge the store’s response rate based on the buyer’s messages and bargaining received in the past 30 days, as well as the latest 10 buyer messages and bargaining received.
Information automatically replied by the system is not included in the calculation. The system will update the response rate twice a day. Replying to messages within 12 hours is considered a timely response.
1. Turn on vacation mode
Click “Shop Settings” to set up the store and turn on vacation mode. It takes one hour for vacation mode to take effect. Once vacation mode is turned on, it will take 24 hours to turn off vacation mode.
2. Enable auto-reply in chat
Click “Chat Settings” to open chat settings; click “Send Auto-Reply in Chat” to enable auto-reply in chat, edit the auto-reply message; click “Save” to save.
As long as a buyer sends a chat message, if the seller fails to reply in time after the timeout, the store’s response rate will be affected. Sellers are advised to download the Shopee mobile app to quickly reply anytime, anywhere.
