1. Export tables by category
The steps to export tables from the backend are: click “Products” > “Manage Products”; click “Export” to batch export tables by category.
2. Open the document
Open the document with OpenOffice; the template should be opened with OpenOffice instead of Excel. You can click the link, select the language, and download OpenOffice.
In the OpenOffice settings, “Character set” must select “Unicode (UTF-8)”; “Semicolon” must be checked. If the document format opened with “Semicolon” is incorrect, you can check “Tab” and “/” or “Comma” (this may only occur when the product description and other information contain semicolons). Please be sure to select “Semicolon” when saving.
3. Modify content
(1) Take category as an example
Find “Primary Category” to modify, download the latest product category tree file, and find the category number to be modified. It should be noted that the seller’s own operation is limited to the modification between different subcategories under the same main category. If you need to modify the main category, you need to submit a request to the Lazada platform.
(2) Take status as an example
Find “Status” to modify. It should be noted that no matter which columns of information are updated, the “Seller Sku” column must be retained.
4. Save the document
Click “Save as”, select “Edit filter settings”; click “Keep current format”; select “Unicode (UTF-8)” under “Character set”, select “;” under “Field delimiter”, and click “OK” to save.
5. Upload documents and check
(1) Upload documents
Select “Update Products” in “Import Mode” and then click “Upload Files”.
(2) Check the upload status
Check “Import History”. If “√” appears, the update is successful; if “×” appears, the update fails. Click to view “Download Error Report”. You can modify it and upload it again.
