The Seller Center is the backstage for MercadoLibre sellers to carry out their daily operations, including uploading products, processing orders, advertising and promotion, replying to buyers’ messages, etc. All operations must be carried out here.

1. Login to MercadoLibre Seller Center

Open the homepage of MercadoLibre Seller Center, fill in your email and password, and click “Login” to directly enter the backstage page of the Seller Center.

2. Six sections of MercadoLibre Seller Center

The menu bar of MercadoLibre Seller Center includes six sections: My Account, Flat File, Products, Sales, Questions, and Payments.

(I) My Account

This section includes Seller Profile, Reputation, Feedback Template, User Management, and Notifications.

(II) Flat File

In the “Flat File” column, sellers can fill in information through Excel tables or connect to the ERP system to list products.

(III) Products

In the “Products” column, sellers can view product details and remove SKUs.

1. Listing

Listing is divided into two states here, one is “Active” (products on sale) and the other is “Out of Stock”.

2. Remove SKUs

If the seller needs to remove the SKU, copy the SKU code into the white box and separate it with “,” and delete up to 500 SKUs at a time. Once the seller clicks “Submit”, these SKUs will be permanently deleted from the system, and the Listing list will stop being displayed on the front desk. Therefore, sellers must check the SKU code when copying it to avoid errors.

(IV) Sales

In the “Sales” column, sellers can check the order status. If it is “Open”, it means that the product order is being sold. If it shows “Closed”, it means that the order has been closed for various reasons.

The first column is the buyer’s information; the second column is the product order details; the third column is the transaction payment status. If it shows “Payment Confirmed”, it means the order has been paid, “Payment Dispute” means the order has not been paid, and “In Transit” means it is in transit.

(V) Questions

MercadoLibre is not like China’s Taobao, which has a Wangwang backend that can answer buyers’ questions online in real time. Therefore, the “Questions” section plays a role in connecting sellers and buyers. If buyers have questions about the product during the shopping process, they will leave a message in this section, and the seller needs to reply to the buyer after seeing the question.

“Questions” is divided into three modules: “Pre Sale-Unanswered Questions”, “Pre Sale-Answered Questions”, and “FAQs”.

(1) “Pre Sale-Unanswered Questions”: Indicates that the seller has not yet responded to the buyer’s questions.

(2) “Pre Sale-Answered Questions”: Indicates that the seller has temporarily resolved the buyer’s questions.

(3) “FAQs”: Sellers can extract some frequently asked questions and answers from buyers and display them on this page to simplify the process.

(VI) Payments

In the “Payments” column, sellers can find detailed payment reports for orders. Special attention should be paid to the following points: Sellers need to submit a withdrawal application at least two days in advance, and the minimum application amount is US$500.

In addition, the settlement time of different sites is different: the Mexican site settles every two weeks on Thursday; the Colombian, Argentine and Chilean sites settle every two weeks; the Brazilian site can withdraw cash at any time, and the arrival date is subject to the local bank processing time.
