Currently, MercadoLibre is the largest platform in Latin America. According to Alexa statistics, most of MercadoLibre’s traffic comes from referral traffic, accounting for about 46%, of which Facebook accounts for the highest proportion, accounting for about 50%. (ii) Backend operations are in English

Although most countries in Latin America speak Spanish, the MercadoLibre platform allows sellers to edit and list English listings. Sellers can list products on the platform even if they do not understand Spanish. After listing, the platform will automatically translate the listing into Spanish or Portuguese. However, the author still recommends that sellers prepare for the language in advance.

(iii) ERP can be used to upload products

The MercadoLibre platform can upload products through ERP, and can connect to third-party supply distribution platforms through API interfaces to upload products, synchronize orders, and update logistics information.

MercadoLibre has established four support plans for sellers, which respectively solve the four major problems of market, online payment, online advertising and store operation, in order to address the concerns of “newbies”.
