(I) Categories that can be sold on the platform
Categories that can be sold on the Jumia platform include: cameras, mobile phones, tablets, fashion products, daily necessities and office supplies, watches, sunglasses, baby and children’s products, toys, health and beauty products, cars, sports and fitness products, games and game consoles, service discounts, books, movies and music, weddings, groceries, etc.
(II) Sensitive product policy
For sensitive products, sellers must add “product creation instructions” in the product description. Otherwise, the platform will remove the product from the shelves.
(III) Prohibited products for sale on the Nigerian site
(1) Beauty products that come into contact with the skin are strictly regulated, and liquid cosmetics, perfumes, skin care products, etc. cannot be cleared.
(2) Second-hand or refurbished products (except mobile phones) are sold.
(3) Drugs are prohibited.
(4) Vehicle trackers such as GPS are prohibited.
(5) Drones, the battery must be less than 100W·h, and those exceeding the requirement are prohibited.
(6) Balance bikes and electric vehicles are prohibited from being sold.
(7) Pure batteries and power banks are prohibited from being sold.
(8) Electronic cigarettes are prohibited from being sold.
(9) Weapons, simulated weapons, toy weapons, and other items that may be used as tools for terrorist attacks are prohibited from being sold.
