First, SWOT analysis can be used to solve various problems, such as whether the company should enter a certain industry, whether to launch a new product, whether to enter the international market, whether to expand production capacity, and other major decision-making issues; at the same time, in addition to being a powerful tool for marketers, SWOT analysis can also be used for family and personal decision-making, such as solving the problem of which major a child should apply for in college.
Second, analyze the criticality and importance of strengths and weaknesses in the issues to be decided, and evaluate the following issues:
Do we have a disadvantage that is difficult to overcome and can be easily exploited by competitors; if this disadvantage is exploited by competitors, will it pose a serious threat to us? Such a disadvantage should be taken seriously, and we should evaluate whether we can withstand the threat caused by the disadvantage.
Evaluate the impact of other disadvantages and sort out the comprehensive influence of these disadvantages.
Do we have an advantage that is difficult for competitors to overcome and can bring a major blow to competitors; if there is such an advantage, it is a good positive support for decision-making.
Evaluate the enthusiasm of other advantages.
Evaluate the importance of opportunities, such as major opportunities, general opportunities, and local opportunities.
Evaluate the severity of the threat, such as fatal threat, serious threat, major threat and ordinary threat.
Finally, make a decision based on the evaluation results. If a decision has been made, SWOT analysis can also help check whether there are loopholes and major errors in the previous decision, so as to take remedial measures.
