GEO’s high weight
When consumers search and shop on Amazon, Amazon will automatically identify the IP to lock the user’s geographical area. All subsequent shopping behaviors of users on Amazon, including search, click, add to cart, order, etc., will be associated with their IP area, thus affecting the ranking of the listing in the target area.
These are the hidden rules of Amazon’s A10 algorithm, namely the “regional ranking factor”, referred to as “GEO”. By improving the ranking of the listing in the target area, the conversion rate can be improved, which in turn can reduce the cost of ACoS and optimize CPC advertising.
Sellers can achieve this goal through Amazon DSP advertising. DSP is Amazon’s independent advertising service, similar to DSA’s targeted advertising, but DSP has a wider range, especially the advertising strategy implemented through regional positioning, which is the key to our improvement of “GEO” ranking.
Brand BAT rebate
For brand sellers, in addition to using brand advertising to promote brand stores and related products, Amazon has also launched a brand marketing rebate policy, referred to as “BRB”.
Amazon recently launched a new advertising feature – Attibution (AT), which is an auxiliary means of off-site traffic diversion and is free to use until December 2021. “BRB” can be seen as an additional term of Attribution. As long as the traffic is diverted through “AB”, a 10% commission reward can be obtained after the conversion is successful, which is equivalent to deducting 2/3 of the order commission. For sellers, isn’t it wonderful?
