The Amazon Small Business Awards (AmazonSmallBusinessAwards) were conducted by Amazon in 2019 A selection poll that incentivizes small and mid-sized business candidates with active Amazon merchant accounts and VC accounts to receive honorable mentions.

Background

In the Amazon store, more than half of the products come from small and medium-sized enterprises all over the world. In 2018, independent third-party merchants (mainly small and medium-sized enterprises) accounted for 58% of Amazon’s total physical product sales. On Prime Day 2020, their total sales exceeded US$2 billion. In order to encourage merchants and set examples, Amazon The “Small and Medium Business Awards” were released.

Honorable Award Types

1. Small Business of the Year (Small Business of the Year)

All competition qualifications must be considered.

2. Women-Owned Small Business of the Year (Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year)

The key leadership positions of the company must be held by women. Compared with other relevant parties, women must also own the ownership of the company. Majority of shares (51% or substantial amount).

3. Small Business Owner Under 30 of the Year this year (SmallBusinessOwnerUnder30oftheYear)

The key leadership positions of the company must be filled by staff under 30 years old, and people who are 30 years old or younger You must also own a majority (51% or more) of the business with other related parties. The candidate report and type selection are generally called “submissions”. Each company submits an account to the competition. If multiple accounts are submitted, the first submitted account will be used as the standard.

Qualifications

This competition is open to legal residents of the 50 states and the District of Columbia:

1. Brand registration for Amazon marketplace sales partner accounts User or craftsman.

2. The total number of employees is less than 100, and the annual income is less than 50 million US dollars.

3. A legal resident of the United States, with an Amazon market sales partner account in the United States.

4. Sales partner account and good reputation within one year and competition period.

Reward package content

1. The winner can bring one guest on a trip to Amazon’s Seattle headquarters (Amazon pays for round-trip air tickets, hotel accommodation, and transportation expenses).

2. Account management in June.

3. Use Amazon.com marketing expenses worth US$35,000.

4. Use $10,000 worth of advertising tax credits provided by Amazon.com.

After the list of winners is determined, the names of the winners will be announced on the official website.
