Sub-parent accounts are a new feature launched by the Shopee platform in 2019. Sellers can log in to the Seller Center using the main account or sub-account, and can manage stores on multiple sites at the same time. The parent account has the greatest authority and can manage all stores. It can set different permissions for different employees, and only the parent account has the authority to set payment passwords and bank accounts.

We can apply to the account manager for a link to create a child-parent account. After filling in the agreement and agreeing to the commitment, select the “Related to child-parent account information” radio button, and then select “Create parent account information for child-parent account” Click the check box and follow the guidelines to provide the registered email and mobile phone number of the legal representative/person in charge of creating the parent account. Follow the tutorial to print, fill in, and upload the parent account information collection form and authorization letter for the Shopee platform. Provide a front-facing photo of the business license and After submitting the front and back photos of the legal person ID card for the business license, you will receive an invitation activation email in about 5 working days.

2. Activate the parent account

According to the instructions in the email, click the “Activate Account” button to enter the parent account platform and complete the activation of the parent account. Click “Setup Now” button to set the enterprise number, which is the prefix of the parent account and sub-account. The enterprise number can be any content that is not the same as the existing enterprise number in the Shopee platform. Once set, it cannot be changed. Then, set the password and name of the parent account, verify the phone number of the parent account, and the parent account will be activated. The login name of the parent account is “Enterprise Number: main”, and the password also uses the new password set when activating the parent account.
