After understanding the various sections of the Seller Center, we can start uploading products. There are generally two ways to upload a single product. One is to upload through the Seller Center – “Products” – “Add Products” in the Shopee backend, and the other is to use ERP software to collect and upload products. The former is more suitable for sellers who have their own products. The seller takes photos and beautifies the pictures. The latter is more suitable for sellers who sell a large number of goods to earn the price difference.
The steps are as follows:
Step 1: Click the “Add Product” option to open the “Add Product” page and fill in the product name (different sites have different product names) The character limit (the Malaysia site requires product names to be within 255 characters), select the correct category. If you are not sure which category to choose, you can enter keywords into the search box to query. If the product is put into the wrong category, it will easily be banned from sale. Step 2: Fill in the product details page. The content marked with * is important and required. The product details page includes 5 sections: “Basic Information”, “Sales Information”, “Media Management”, “Shipping Charges” and “Others”.
In the “Basic Information” section, we need to fill in the product description and Brand. The other items will have different options depending on the category of the product. For “Brand”, if there is no brand, select “NoBrand”. If there is a brand and our brand is not in the options, you can set it yourself and upload it. In addition, after all the required information for the product has been filled in, stored and put on the shelves, we can click the “Visual Effects” link to see how the product will appear to buyers at the front desk of the store.
In the “Sales Information” section, we need to set the price, product quantity, specification, and wholesale price. Products that participate in package discounts, add-on promotions, attention gifts and other activities cannot also enjoy the wholesale price of the product, and Wholesale prices are limited to product specifications with the same price. For example, if a comb has 10 specifications and the prices are all the same, the wholesale price can be set. If the unit prices are different, the wholesale price cannot be set. When a product participates in a promotion, the original specifications and price of the product cannot be modified, but new specifications can be added, and the newly added content can be modified or deleted. Single specification sales information filling page. The “Specification Information” column only appears on the multi-specification sales information filling page, and can be used to modify the price, quantity, and item number of the product in batches. The number of mixed specifications cannot exceed 50, and the number of single specifications cannot exceed 20. For example, if a piece of clothing has 10 colors and 6 sizes, there will be 10X6 specifications, but the Shopee platform can only upload a maximum of 50 specifications.
In the “Media Management” section, we need to upload product pictures, specification pictures, and for clothing products, we also need to upload size pictures. Pictures are required to be in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format. The recommended size is 800 pixels by 800 pixels. The size of each picture should not exceed 2MB. A maximum of 9 product pictures can be uploaded, a maximum of 20 specification pictures can be uploaded, and only one size picture can be uploaded. We only need to click on the box in the picture to upload the picture.
In the “Shipping” section, we need to fill in the weight, package size, and shipping cost. For weight, we need to fill in the weight after packaging. For the package size, it is also best for us to fill in the packaged size. Click the icon in the box in Figure 3-68. It is recommended not to set free shipping, that is, uncheck the “I will bear the shipping cost” check box.
In the “Others” section, we can choose whether to set up pre-orders, select the storage status of the product, and fill in the main product number. The shipping days for non-pre-ordered products are 2 days (holidays are not included), and the shipping days for pre-ordered products are 5~10 days. There are two options for product preservation status: new and second-hand. The main product number is mainly for the convenience of inventory management, so you can leave it blank.
After completing the filling, click the “Save and Put on Shelf” button, and buyers can see the product at the front desk of the store. If we want to delete a product, we need to remove the product from the shelf first, and then click “Unknown”. Select the product to be deleted in the “Publish on Shelves” option and click the “Delete” button in the lower right corner.
