Cost Calculation

Cross-border sellers need to have a clear cost awareness. This section will list common cost matters for everyone to serve as a starting point, but it may not be applicable to all situations.

Purchasing costs: The costs incurred by the seller in purchasing products. If the seller purchases the product online, the shipping cost of shipping the product must also be taken into consideration.

Packaging cost: You can calculate the total cost of packaging materials within a period of time (such as a month) and average it for pricing calculation.

Domestic express delivery costs: If the seller needs to express the product to the Lazada sorting center, the express delivery fee needs to be included in the cost.

International logistics costs: Under Lazada’s consolidated shipping method, the seller needs to bear the logistics costs for the international segment. Sellers need to refer to the latest rate card officially released by Lazada, calculate the international logistics fee based on the product’s package weight, and calculate the cost.

Lazada commission and payment fees are as follows.

1) Lazada commission rate

The commission rate for the following categories is 1%: audio: drone accessories, drones; camera shooting tools (DSLR, gadgets and Other cameras, instant cameras, point-and-shoot cameras, security cameras and systems, video and action cameras), desktop computers, laptops, mobile phones, tablets; printers, scanners, fax machines; ink, ink, ink; smart watches; televisions ; Laser pointer: dictionary and translation; Electronic cigarette; Metal detector: universal charger; Walkie-talkie.

The commission rate for other categories is 4%.

2) Payment fee

Indonesia: Payment fee = (Product selling price – Seller discount) × 1.82% × (1 + VAT rate) Other countries except Indonesia: Payment fee = (Product selling price – Seller discount + Buyer’s shipping amount) × 2% × (1 + VAT rate)

3) Withdrawal fees

Because sellers use different payment methods, the proportion of withdrawal fees is also different. For example, currently using Payoneer, a cross-border payment digital service provider platform), there will be a 1% deposit fee and a 2% withdrawal fee, totaling 3% (the charging rate is for reference only, please check the official website of the collection platform for specific charging rates). The formula for calculating withdrawal fees is as follows.

Pay Anying withdrawal fee = (product selling price – international shipping fee – commission) × 3%
