Merchants often encounter situations where products they have uploaded with great effort are removed from the shelves by the system. They often suffer from not knowing how to define counterfeit products and not knowing the methods and ways to self-check counterfeit products. By learning this part of knowledge, merchants will learn how to self-check.
1. Steps to identify products that infringe intellectual property rights
(1) Check the brand name, logo or brand label that is easy to identify on the picture.
(2) If it is difficult to find the brand logo, check whether there is a blurred or hidden logo or label. It is difficult to distinguish the brand of the product at first glance, but after careful inspection, you can find the brand label “Tom’s” inside the heel.
(3) If you see a brand name on the product picture but don’t recognize it, search it online.
At this time, merchants can search through Google or Baidu. In the search results, you can find that Stila is a very popular beauty brand.
(4) If the picture does not contain the brand name, logo or label, you also need to check the title and description.
For example, if the title contains the abbreviation “Vs”, merchants are very likely to overlook such abbreviations. When uploading products, they must be cautious about each abbreviation.
Merchants can search “VS” on Google and see that it is the abbreviation of the brand name “Victoria’s Secret”.
(5) If there is no brand logo, name or label in the image, title and description, try “reverse image search”.
Search the product image in Google Image.
The following are several image search websites recommended for merchants:
?Google Image Search:images.google.com
?Baidu:image.baidu.com
?Tineye:www.tineye.com
?Multi-service image: iqdb.org
2. Learn more about common reasons for prohibition of sale
On this page, merchants can view common reasons for prohibition of sale. In addition, the ranking of each reason for prohibition can be viewed according to three different time periods: “Last Week”, “Last Month” and “All Time”. The higher the ranking, the more times it has occurred.
In addition to viewing the ranking of each reason, merchants can also jump to the detailed description page by directly clicking on the reason link.
Taking the third reason “Dangerous Chemicals” as an example, some pictures of products that have been removed from the shelves will be listed in the detailed description.
3. Learn more about the most common counterfeit brands
On this page, merchants can view common counterfeit brands. Similarly, merchants can view the ranking of each infringing brand according to three different time periods: “Last Week”, “Last Month” and “All Time”. The higher the ranking, the more times it has occurred.
By clicking on the brand name, merchants can enter the details page, where a large number of pictures of the brand’s products are listed. After clicking on the 10th brand “Ugg”, jump to the corresponding product page. The products displayed on this page are all counterfeit records uploaded by merchants.
In addition, merchants can also directly enter the brand name in the search bar on the adjustment page to learn about the brand’s counterfeit information.
By observing this ranking, you will find that although most of these brands are well-known brands, the frequency of infringement is still very high. Therefore, it is recommended that merchants must strictly filter their products before uploading them.
4. Test your knowledge of the prohibited product policy
After the above introduction, I believe that merchants have a certain understanding of counterfeit and prohibited products. In this part, merchants can test themselves to check their understanding of counterfeit and prohibited products.
Click the “Test Now!” button to start the test.
In the page that jumps to, Wish provides a series of products and pictures for merchants to test. Merchants need to complete at least 2 pages of product testing.
Merchants need to carefully observe all the pictures of each product. If you think the product is a counterfeit or a prohibited product, click the corresponding picture and select the reason why you think the product is a counterfeit or a prohibited product in the pop-up dialog box. If the image is too small to be distinguished, you can click on it to enlarge it and observe the details.
Take pink pants as an example. Wish lists all the images of this product. If the merchant believes that this product is a counterfeit or a prohibited product, he can click on the product image and select the reason why he thinks it is a counterfeit or a prohibited product in the pop-up dialog box.
For example, if you think this product is a counterfeit, select the first reason “Contertst ofamijorband”.
After the selection is completed, all images of the product will display the words “Not suitable for sale” and be marked in red.
After completing the test of all products on this page, click the “Next Page” button.
On the next page, follow the same steps to select the counterfeit and the corresponding reason.
Repeat this operation, and when all the tests are completed, the page will automatically calculate the test results.
In addition, the system will explain each product that the merchant misjudged.
Example 1
For products that are missed, the system will prompt the merchant that there is no mark for the product and that the reason why the product cannot be sold is that it is a counterfeit.
Example 2
For products that are mistakenly marked as counterfeits and can be sold, the system will prompt that the product is suitable and should not be marked.
Example 3
For products that have been marked but the wrong reason has been selected, the system will also give an explanation. For example, this product should be marked as a counterfeit rather than a weapon.
After browsing all the explanation details, click the “Continue” button at the bottom of the page to exit the test.
After exiting, you will return to the initial page and the merchant can test again.
For merchants who have just joined the Wish platform, this function can help you understand the counterfeit and prohibited product policies as soon as possible through actual tests. At the same time, for merchants who already have a certain scale, this function is also applicable to newly recruited operators in the team.
I hope that all merchants can stay away from counterfeits during operations.
