1. Printing the delivery note
Choose the appropriate delivery note for printing according to the printer type.
2. Packing
Choose the appropriate auxiliary materials to package the product according to the product type and seal it.
3. Pasting the delivery note
If you use a self-adhesive label delivery note, you can directly tear off the delivery note and stick it on the package. If it is printed on A4 paper, you need to cut it with scissors and then stick it on the package with transparent tape. The transparent tape should cover the delivery note completely to prevent damage.
4. Scanning and counting
Use a barcode scanner to scan the delivery notes of the packages one by one. After scanning, the logistics tracking number on the delivery note will be automatically transmitted to the computer or ERP system, which is convenient for confirming the delivery record and counting the number of packages. The barcode scanner is a non-essential item and is often used with the ERP system. With the electronic scale, it can also automatically count the number of packages and record the weight of the packages. Merchants with few orders do not need to purchase barcode scanners and can use simple manual methods to count.
5. Weighing and calculating weight
Weight calculation means weighing and recording the package. Generally, there are two ways: weighing a single package and weighing a whole bag of packages. Weighing a single package can accurately record the weight of each package, and can provide good reference data for whether there are problems such as wrong delivery, missing delivery, over-delivery, and under-delivery. Weighing a whole bag of packages is to weigh and record the total weight of the whole bag of packages, which is convenient for delivery registration and settlement with logistics service providers.
6. Make an appointment for door-to-door collection
After the packaging and other links are completed, it is necessary to make an appointment with the logistics service provider (freight forwarder) to collect the goods at your door. To make an appointment for door-to-door collection, you usually make an appointment through the system of the logistics service provider, or make an appointment by phone through the warehouse/driver contact information provided by the logistics service provider. Door-to-door collection is greatly affected by traffic conditions, and the time node must be relaxed when making an appointment. Logistics service providers generally have different requirements for door-to-door collection. If the requirements are not met, additional charges will be charged or no door-to-door collection will be made. The actual regulations of each logistics service provider shall prevail.
Notes:
?If the merchant is close to the logistics service provider’s warehouse, he can deliver the goods to the logistics service provider’s warehouse by himself. This can reduce the delay caused by traffic problems when collecting at the door, and to a certain extent, it can speed up the speed of the package going online.
?When there is no logistics service provider in the merchant’s area, the merchant needs to send all the packages to the logistics service provider’s warehouse by himself. The delivery process takes a certain amount of time, the package’s online time will be affected, and there is also a risk of exceeding the delayed delivery rate.
7. Online query
After the delivery to the logistics service provider, the logistics service provider generally completes the relevant operations within 24 to 48 hours, and the merchant can check the tracking information of the logistics order number (the latest logistics progress information) through the logistics service provider’s website.
Method 1: In the Wish backend, follow the path “Order” → “History” → Order List → “Shipment Details” → Logistics Tracking Number → Latest Logistics Progress Information to query.
Method 2: Check through the global logistics tracking platform website 17TRACK (website: http://www.17track.net/) or AfterShip (website: https://www.aftership.com/).
