Trademark registration is only the first step. After obtaining the trademark registration certificate, you must also file your trademark on the Amazon platform. Only after you file your trademark on the platform can you get the platform’s recognition and protection.
Amazon trademark filing is a trademark registration that the platform conducts in the Amazon system for sellers who already hold registered trademarks or have trademark authorization. After a trademark is successfully filed in the backend of the seller center, the Amazon system will automatically assign it a unique GCID (Global Catalog Identifier). GCID is a 16-bit character string consisting of letters and numbers. Sellers who have filed their GCID trademark do not need to use the UPC code when they publish their products later. They can directly use the GCID to publish.
At the same time, after filing their trademarks and having the GCID, when the product is followed by others, the seller can use the GCID and the corresponding trademark information to complain to the platform, and the platform will respond and handle such complaints quickly.
Sellers who have completed GCID trademark filing can enjoy many advantages in their operations. First of all, they can protect the products under their own trademarks and prevent them from being followed by others. Secondly, with more complete product editing permissions, you can apply for product locking to prevent product information from being tampered with by others. Thirdly, with trademarked products, sellers will be more attentive to quality, consumers will be more satisfied, and it is conducive to maintaining the long-term stable development of the store.
So, what information do you need to submit for GCID trademark registration?
