Ozon announced the launch of a Chinese version of the Seller App for IOS users, allowing sellers to manage their Ozon accounts more conveniently. Currently, the Ozon Seller App is available in English, Chinese and Turkish, helping sellers manage sales through their mobile phones and quickly respond to market changes.
Through the app, sellers can view sales analysis data, monitor competitive positions, and conduct order management and packaging confirmation. In addition, sellers can also edit product detail pages, communicate with customer service and customers, participate in promotions, reply to customer reviews, etc. The app provides sellers with a more convenient way to manage their Ozon sales business.
At the same time, Ozon also announced that it will soon launch an Android version of the Seller App to meet the needs of more users.
It is understood that in November last year, Ozon announced the establishment of an office in Shenzhen and appointed Huang Xiao, who has rich experience in cross-border trade and e-commerce, as the president of Ozon China. This move aims to expand the total amount of cross-border trade between China and Russia, enable more Chinese merchants to benefit from the development of the Ozon platform, and allow Russian consumers to have more diverse product choices.
Ozon said that they plan to attract 100,000 Chinese merchants to the platform in 2024 and increase the transaction volume of Chinese goods by 10 times. According to their data, the volume of China’s cross-border trade market exceeded 1 trillion US dollars in the first half of 2022, and 90% of the goods on the platform came from Chinese sellers. At present, more than 10,000 Chinese merchants have registered on Ozon, and the transaction volume continues to grow.
Recently, Ozon also released its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2022. The report shows that in 2022, Ozon’s gross merchandise value (GMV) increased by 86% year-on-year to 832.2 billion rubles, exceeding market expectations. The platform’s performance growth mainly benefited from the increase in merchant sales and the increase in the number of orders.
As of the end of 2022, the number of active buyers on Ozon has reached 35.2 million, an increase of nearly 10 million from the end of 2021. The base of active sellers has also expanded significantly to more than 230,000, an increase of more than 2.5 times year-on-year. The platform’s order frequency also increased by 52%, reaching 13.2 orders per customer per year, indicating that Ozon has an average of more than one order from its customers every month.
By launching the Chinese version of the seller application and deepening the cross-border trade between China and Russia, Ozon is committed to providing Chinese sellers with better sales channels and opportunities, while bringing more diverse product choices to Russian consumers. This will also further promote trade cooperation and development between China and Russia.
