As one of the major cross-border e-commerce platforms, AliExpress also has its own overseas warehouses. We all know that overseas warehouses can bring better experience to consumers and improve the overall conversion of stores. So do you know what types of overseas warehouses AliExpress has?

AliExpress’s overseas warehouses include official warehouses, certified warehouses, and third-party overseas warehouses. Different types of overseas warehouses have different requirements.

1. Official warehouse

Official warehouses are also called Cainiao official overseas warehouses. They are logistics services jointly launched by AliExpress and Cainiao Network. They can provide sellers with overseas warehouse management, goods distribution, local delivery, after-sales compensation and other services.

Currently, official warehouse services are only available in Spain, France, Belgium and Poland.

Official warehouses have faster product transportation time and more guaranteed services, which can greatly improve buyers’ shopping experience.

In terms of fees, it is mainly composed of storage fees + last-mile delivery fees + multiple-piece fees + value-added service fees. The overall fee is about 10% lower than the mainstream market price, which can save more logistics costs.

2. Certified warehouse

There is a prerequisite for sellers to order Cainiao certified warehouses, that is, they must first prepare the goods in the certified warehouse by themselves before they can place an order. The ordered products will be marked with the “fastshipping” label, and the products in the warehouse will be managed through BMS in the future.

Currently, the Cainiao certified warehouses and the countries that have been connected are as follows:

4PX: connected to the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Belgium;

Wanyitong: connected to the United Kingdom, the United States, and Germany;

IML: connected to Russia;

Barn: connected to the United Kingdom, the United States, the Czech Republic, and France.

You can choose an overseas warehouse that suits you to place an order according to your own situation.

It should be noted that at present, except for Russia, the Cainiao certified warehouses are about to close orders, so sellers who want to apply should hurry up.

3. Third-party overseas warehouse

This type of overseas warehouse mainly refers to the service that sellers cooperate with other warehouses and manage.

Sellers who use third-party overseas warehouses can effectively improve the competitiveness of their products and attract buyers to purchase by marking their products with “X-day delivery” after ordering the “Promise to Arrive” service.

Currently, “Promise to Arrive” has been opened in 8 countries including Spain, France, Poland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Brazil, and the United States. Sellers can order the “Promise to Arrive” service as long as they use overseas warehouses in these countries.

In addition to overseas warehouse shipments, sellers can also choose online or offline shipments. The most important thing is to choose the most suitable shipping method according to your actual situation to make your store more competitive.
