What are the professional terms in Amazon?
As a large online e-shopping platform, Amazon has many professional terms. Here we mainly select some common terms.
Common professional terms include Review, Listing, ASIN code, Invoice Defect Rate, and Amazon Inventory Performance.
Review: This refers to the evaluation displayed on the product details page.
Listing: It is to upload the merchant’s product information to the store backend and generate a product detail page on the Amazon website. This page mainly includes information such as product title, product price, product picture and product description.
ASIN code: Amazon Standy Identification Numcode, which is the Amazon standard identification code. It is a special coding identifier for Amazon products. It is a random alphanumeric combination generated by Amazon.
Invoice Defect Rate: Also known as Invoice Defect Rate, referred to as IDR, is a new performance evaluation indicator for seller accounts launched by Amazon Europe. It targets orders from corporate customers, and the proportion of orders that fail to provide invoices (or receipts) within the first working day after the order is delivered accounts for the total number of orders.
Amazon Inventory Performance: Also known as Inventory Performance Index, or IPI for short, it is an inventory performance standard set by Amazon to better utilize inventory and encourage sellers to improve inventory management.
SKU: The full name of SKU is Stock Keeping Unit, which is the unit of inventory in and out. Each product has a SKU, which makes it easy for sellers to identify the goods.
FBA: The full name is Fulfillment by Amazon, which is Amazon Logistics. It is a logistics service provided by Amazon, including warehousing, picking, packaging, distribution, collection, customer service, returns, etc.
FBM: FBM is the seller’s self-delivery model. The seller only uses Amazon as a sales platform. The product’s inventory, packaging, distribution, after-sales service, etc. are all the seller’s responsibility.
CPC: CPC, or “pay per click”, is a method often used by Amazon sellers when promoting products on the site. Advertisers only pay for users clicking on ads, not for the number of times the ads are displayed.
