Keywords are clues for people to fish for the information they want in the vast “sea” of the Internet. With the help of search engines, we can easily find matching information on the Internet through keywords, including text, pictures, animations, sounds, videos, etc. From a personal perspective, if you want to buy something, just enter the keywords that match the characteristics of the item, and the search engine will give you the webpage that best matches the keywords, and you can find what you want; from the perspective of business promotion, accurately matching the keywords used by customers to search and invest has become a weapon to win thousands of miles. For this reason, Google also provides a special tool to help businesses find the most valuable keywords, which is Keyword Planner.
Log in to your AdWords account and find “Keyword Planner” under the “Tools” menu. The specific functions are introduced as follows.
Search for new keywords using a phrase, website, or category
This option helps find keywords for new campaigns or expand the keyword list of existing campaigns. For example, if you plan to expand an existing campaign, you can use the keyword planner to find keywords that are not too high in search volume but more targeted (i.e. “long tail” keywords), which are more likely to bring conversions. Next, you can “shop” from this series of keyword and ad group ideas as needed, add your favorite keywords to the “Shopping Cart” plan, and click the “Audit Plan” tab to get performance forecasts for new keywords.
Get search volume data and search trends
If you already have a list of keywords, you can enter them manually or upload them as a CSV file to get reference ideas about the search popularity of these keywords. For example, you can enter a group of keywords and then get search volume statistics, or you can divide the keywords into various ad groups.
