If sellers want to run Amazon stores well, uploading products is a basic skill. For sellers who build their own product pages, Amazon provides multiple ways to upload products.
Single product upload
(1) Create a new product. Enter the seller backend and select the “Add a Product” option in the INVENTORY drop-down list in the upper left corner of the page. On the “Add a product” page, click the “Create a new product” button.
(2) Search for categories. Select the product category in the list, enter keywords in the search box to search for categories, and click the “Select” button to confirm the category.
Select the product category in the list of all product categories. If you are not sure about your product category, you can enter keywords in the search box to search for categories, or refer to the product categories of other similar sellers. However, the front-end and back-end categories of other sellers’ products may not completely correspond. After confirming the product category, enter the add product page.
(3) Enter basic product information, such as SKU, title, description, brand, manufacturer, function, picture, price, keyword UPC code, etc.
All options marked with * are required. After confirming that all the information is filled in, the Save and finish button at the bottom of the page will change from gray to orange. Click the “Save and finish” button to create the product.
When creating a product for the first time, the image will not be uploaded immediately. You have to wait until the product information is entered and the “Save and finish” button is clicked before the image is uploaded.
When uploading products on Amazon, most categories require sellers to use the required specific GTIN (Global Trade Item Code, which includes UPC, EAN, JAN, ISBN, etc.), and the most commonly used is the UPC code.
It should be noted that when filling in the product name (ProductName), only fill in the product information that can attract buyers, so that buyers know what is being sold. The first letter is all capitalized except for prepositions. Avoid promotional information, such as the last few days, the price is only a few, etc. If there is a Brand Name, write it. If there is no Brand Name, fill in Generic Knowledge expansion: Amazon’s UPC and other common (general category).
The specific requirements for images uploaded by Amazon are as follows.
①The product on the image must occupy 85% of the entire image and cannot contain watermarks, text, etc.
②The size of the image must not be less than 500 pixels X500 pixels, and it is recommended to set it to 1000 pixels X1000
Pixels
in order to use Amazon’s image zoom function (image zoom function can increase sales).
③The image format can be GIF, TIFF, JPEG. It is recommended to choose JPEG because it is faster to upload images in this format
④It is recommended that the background of the main image be pure white.
(4) Successful creation.
After successful addition, all product information will be updated within 15 minutes on the Manage Inventory page. Products that have just been uploaded will not be displayed immediately on the front page.
The Amazon platform can also perform operations such as batch upload, batch modification and batch deletion of products.
