Sellers first need to understand what basic sections the store backend has and what functions these basic sections have, and then understand the meanings of various nouns on the Amazon platform. By understanding the basic sections and nouns of the store backend in detail, sellers can better use Amazon stores.

Basic sections of the Amazon platform

The store backend of the Amazon platform is mainly divided into 3 basic sections: TAB function section, quick function section, and page quality display section. Mastering the basic sections of the Amazon platform is conducive to sellers to better use the store basic sections and improve operational efficiency.

TAB function section

TAB is translated as label, and the TAB function section is the standard function section. Sellers can quickly enter the various sub-label function pages of the store through these labels and operate the corresponding functions. These tabs include the “Catalog” tab, the “Inventory” tab, the “Price Determination” tab, the “Order” tab, the “Advertisement” tab, the “Data Report” tab, the “Performance” tab, and the B2B tab.

1. “Catalog” tab

Sellers can edit and publish products through the “Catalog” tab. This tab includes two sub-tabs: “Add Products” and “Complete Your Draft”.

(1) Add Products

Sellers can publish the products they want to sell through the “Add Products” sub-tab. Sellers can edit and enter relevant information about the products in the backend, and then display the products on the Amazon frontend.

(2) Complete Your Draft

In the Amazon backend, sellers can continue to publish unfinished products through the “Complete Your Draft” sub-tab. For example, when a seller is publishing a new product, he suddenly has something to deal with, and he closes the backend page without completing the publication. If the seller wants to continue publishing, he only needs to reopen the store backend page and use this sub-tab to complete the unfinished publication. The product continues to be released.

2. “Inventory” tab

Through the “Inventory” tab, sellers can manage the inventory of store products. The “Inventory” tab includes managing inventory, managing Amazon inventory, inventory planning, adding new products, managing Amazon shipments, and uploading and managing videos.

(1) Managing Inventory

Through the “Manage Inventory” sub-tab, sellers can understand the specific inventory quantity of all products in the current store.

(2) Managing Amazon Inventory

Amazon can provide sellers with special logistics services. Sellers who use this service need to transport the products to Amazon’s warehouse for storage, and sellers use The “Manage Amazon Inventory” sub-tab can be used to view and manage the inventory of products in Amazon’s warehouses.

(3) Inventory Planning

If the seller uses Amazon’s logistics services, then the “Inventory Planning” sub-tab can be used to view the current inventory status of products in Amazon’s warehouses. The “Inventory Planning” sub-tab includes the sales quantity of the product: the inventory quantity of the product, etc. Amazon will also provide sellers with certain suggestions based on changes in the inventory data of the product. Sellers can take certain measures based on the inventory situation to reasonably plan and manage the inventory of the product.

For example, when products AB were released in April, they were both in Amazon’s warehouses. The inventory quantity of 8,300 pieces has been added, but through the “Inventory Planning” sub-tab, it is found that 200 pieces of product A were sold in May, and 20 pieces of product B were sold in May. Therefore, when producing products, the production quantity of product A should be increased, and the production of product B should be suspended to avoid inventory backlog and reduce cost consumption.

(4) Add new products

The “Add new products” sub-tab has the same function as the “Add products” sub-tab in the catalog, both of which have the function of publishing new products.

(5) Manage Amazon shipments

Through the “Manage Amazon shipments” sub-tab, sellers can view and manage products shipped to Amazon warehouses.

(6) Upload and manage videos

For products that have been released, sellers can upload the corresponding videos of the products through the “Upload and manage videos” sub-tab, and can also edit and delete the videos. After the seller uploads the product video, the product video will be displayed in the product image display area and video area on the product details page, so that buyers can better view the product features and usage scenarios, etc., to increase product sales.
